Recycle Old Shoes to Make New Playgrounds in Needy Communities

Nike's Reuse-A-Shoe Program accepts donated any brand of athletic shoes and grinds them up into the rubber/foam byproducts. The byproducts are used to make football, basketball, baseball, soccer fields and playgrounds in needy communities.

3000 pairs of shoes can supply the surface on one basketball court and 10,000 pairs of shoes can supply the surface of a running track.

Free Organic Kids Craft Recipes-Play dough & More

ORGANIC PLAY DOUGH RECIPE
1 c. organic salt
1 1/2 c. organic flour
1/2 c. distilled water
2 tbsp. organic coconut oil
A few drops of food coloring optional
Mix thoroughly in a glass bowl. Then store in a covered container. My kids love to pound it flat and cut the play dough out with Cookie cutters.
TIP- You can let older kids form sculptures then leave it out to dry. The organic play dough will harden and then the kids can paint it.

NO COOK ORGANIC PASTE RECIPE
A handful of organic flour
Distilled Water
Pinch of organic sea salt
Add the water a little at a time until your mixture forms a paste consistency- it will be really gooey. You want the organic paste to be pretty thick, so it won't drip all down the project you are going to use it on. Great for pasting scraps of paper.

ORGANIC FLOUR AND WATER FINGER PAINT RECIPE
1 c. organic flour
1 c. distilled water
2 tsp. organic sea salt
Mix the ingredients until they are the consistency of thick gravy. Add organic-natural food coloring as desired. Depending on the amoutn of colors you want to make, seperate the uncolored paint into little tubs before you add the food color.
The food color may stan clothing- so be sure to have the kiddo's wear an apron or old painter's shirt.

ORGANIC CLAY RECIPE
1 c. organic cornstarch
2 c. organic sea salt
Distilled Water
On low-medium heat, stir water into the corn starch and salt, and cook until stiff. Remove the clay from the pot onto some wax paper and cover with a damp cloth. Allow the organic clay to cool before the kids are allowed to touch it. Organic food coloring can be added.

Have fun and happy healthy crafting!
