Organic and Natural Deodorant

Over the summer I used Toms Natural Apricot deodorant stick and am now using Nature's Gate Organics Lemongrass and Clary Sage.

I like the Toms brand and use a lot of thier products. Thier natual deodorant stick is aluminum-free and contains zinc ricinoleate for odor protection. It was a nice scent for the summer but I go a little sick of the sweet scent to be honest.

The Natures Gate Organics had the added benefit of being a certified organic botanicals product, paraben free, hypo allergenic and does not contain any aluminum.

I've learned over the last year when making the move to all organic natural product no to use anything on my body that I cannot pronounce or spell correctly... I figure that the best products are clearly labeled - cruelty-free, boedegradable, vegetable based, and organic.

My son laughed the other day while shopping as I was trying to explain to him why you want vegetable based products. He is 10 so usually only visuals make an impact at this age. While shopping in wholefoods in Dallas I took him over to the meat department and ordered a pound of free range chicken opened the package and suggested that he rub the raw chicken on him (i knew he would not of course-this was just a visual explanation)He looked at me and said gross why would I do that its disgusting- the light bulb went off and he understood why would you want to do that- uggh!
